During the winter of 2001/02 I was commissioned by Bill Frisell to paint the body of his rebuilt Fender Jaguar guitar (I believe the neck is from the original). I used gesso, acrylic paint and acrylic varnish. The guitar then went to Mike Lull (who also made the body and other components), where it was given the final coats of varnish and re-assembled. As for the imagery, I just went for it! Here are the pics.
